If you like melodic synthwave, then you cannot ignore this cheerful record. There are very nice tracks on this album, such as the beautiful, energetic and at the same time charming "Metropolis", the smooth, playful "Bayside", the almost epic sounding "Orion" which is easily the best song of the album and also "Santa Cruz" has a memorable feel to it with its compelling and catchy theme. Sunset and Memories is a very nice synthwave record that invites to be played every time.

In my view Kiile is one of the great synthwave legends. In recent years I've had his earlier album on repeat while driving -- perfect contemplation music. Now I have "In Your Dreams" on loop while working and reading. It's one of the most beautiful and nostalgic tracks I've ever heard -- it perfectly captures a certain feeling of appreciation for what has been and hope for the future.

Perfectly balanced between some bouncy tracks (Golden Age, Spring Break 84), some others straight from a 80s cop series soundtrack (Speedboat, Pacific Heat), and tunes veering more towards dreamwave (Elle, Cold Heart, Night walk).
